The Dec 4 Contingent Workforce Weekly podcast hosted by Chris Dwyer, VP of Research for Ardent Partners featured a conversation with Marc Husain, Managing Director at VectorVMS. Listen in as Chris and Marc discuss the following:
The one-year anniversary of the VectorVMS platform and the main goals in the year ahead
2019 was focused on stabilizing and modernizing the VectorVMS technology. We achieved 508 compliance, which is important to our government clients and also ensures that our software is easily accessible for all workers with disabilities. We also released phase one of our Mobile App for Timesheet Approvals, providing on-the-go access to our platform.
2020 will see new mobile features added, including Mobile Expense Approvals, Mobile Requisition Approvals and Mobile Engagement Approvals.
Why Vendor Management System (VMS) technology is such a critical component of the ‘future of work’
The ‘future of work’ promises to see continued growth of the contingent workforce, making the management of this growing labor sector a challenge. A VMS automates and streamlines processes. Utilizing VMS technology allows employers to control costs by providing total budget visibility. A VMS also allows compliance tracking across the entire contingent labor lifecycle.
Big predictions for the contingent workforce industry for 2020
The VMS will become a total ecosystem or hub for many different technologies related to the contingent workforce. We will be able to add value for our clients by providing a one-stop shop for all their needs.
